Tsugumi Harudori is your average, awkward 14-year old who spends her free time daydreaming about boys. But after she discovers her ability to transform into a weapon, she decides to leave her home in Japan for the US to attend Death Weapon Meister Academy, or DWMA. There, she enters the world of weapons and the meisters who wield them. She befriends two meisters, Anya and Meme, and together they learn the ins and outs of DWMA, like bullies, boys, and but kicking. But things aren't always rainbows and rapiers. Tsugumi must choose a meister, but she can't seem to choose between Anya and Meme. And when several DWMA students begin behaving strangely, dark powers are suspected.
